[OMS_MANAGERS] CBDA Utility Boxes Project share with OMS

Hmmm …. All the utility boxes that were painted in Klamath Falls are owned by the City. I have heard that ODOT is pretty stingy about using their infrastructure for similar projects … I wonder if that’s the difference?

It is a bit interesting that we in Port Orford were advised we could not do anything to the electrical box on the North end of town. 🙃

It seems like there is a bit of interest about this type of project so I reached out to three folks to see if they can join our weekly Mornings on Main call next week (Reminder new day time: Thursday, 9:30 a.m.). Two are of the historic wrap type and one is an art project. I will let you know if any of the folks are available.

Can you forward the information you find on this to us after you are done, I’d be interested in. I just received a call this morning from our City’s Arts & Culture Commission talking about this idea.

Thanks!

FYI – a message from Holly:

Hello,

The Coos Bay Downtown Association is beginning a project to paint/wrap utility boxes in downtown Coos Bay. If you have done a similar project we would love your feedback on the entire process and also specifically on grants that you received and how you paid for the project. Any information would be helpful. You can also email me directly at director at coosbaydowntown.org. Thanks for your insight and help.

Sincerely,

Holly Boardman
