Info Update
NMSC shared that the Revitalizing Small and Local Businesses Act<https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/3340?s=1&r=5> was introduced in the Senate last week via a bi-partisan effort between Senator Padilla<https://www.padilla.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/padilla-wicker-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-to-help-revitalize-small-businesses/> (CA) and Senator Wicker<https://www.wicker.senate.gov/2021/12/wicker-padilla-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-help-revitalize-small-businesses> (MS). This legislation would create a new program within EDA to provide support to networks of business district organizations, such as Main Street programs.
