Dallas Downtown Association is seeking a part-time, contracted executive director

  *   The DDA is currently recruiting for a part-time contracted Executive Director. The Executive Director would work directly with the President and the Board of Directors to ensure the continued success of the organization. The Dallas Downtown Association (DDA) is a non-profit 501c(3), established in 2014. The DDA's mission is to encourage and inspire the arts, restoration, economic vitality, and community spirit in the historic downtown district of Dallas, Oregon, as a member of the Oregon Main Street Program. Grant Opportunities

  *   Main Street America is excited to announce a new small business support program that we're working on in partnership with American Express: Inclusive Backing. More than 250 grants of $5,000 each will be awarded in four cycles over 12 months to small business owners in older or historic commercial districts across the country, with priority given to businesses that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. In partnership with Disability:IN and National ACE Foundation, the first grant cycle will provide grants to both small business owners with disabilities and/or those who identify as Asian, Asian American and/or Pacific Islander.   *   The National Trust is accepting applications to the Telling the Full History Preservation Fund through December 15, 2021 for grants of $25,000 and $50,000 to interpret and preserve historic places of importance to underrepresented communities across states and territories of the United States. This one-time made possible through the National Endowment for the Humanities' American Rescue Plan Humanities Grantmaking for Organizations. Holiday Activities - please feel free to share your events & activities to inspire our Network!

  *   Dayton's Caravan of Lights! The Downtown Dayton Board is bringing you a brand new event, sure to get you in the holiday spirit whether you're a participant or spectator!  Feeling festive & creative?  Pull out those strings of lights, gaffer's tape, extension cords and electric converters, and get busy decorating your car, truck, tractor or trailer!   (Plenty of YouTube videos to give you "how to" ideas) On Saturday, December 11th 5:30 - 7:30 PM this unique event we will bring our light caravan to the community! Our entrants will parade through town with their decorated vehicles.A map of the route will be posted prior to the event so you'll know if the light cruise will be passing by your house.  We may not be able to travel on every Dayton street, but hopefully we'll be close to you! Invite from Idaho Main Street to Folks in Eastern Oregon

  *   Just a heads up that Ed McMahon will be visiting Idaho on December 8th and  is the keynote at a public event "Revitalizing Idaho Main Streets".  Jerry Miller with Idaho Main Street is extending an invitation to any community in Eastern Oregon that might be interested in the content.    The event  will take place from 2:00-4:30 PM (Mountain Time) and will include both an in person and virtual attendance options. The event is free.
