Hi all - just wanted to share the excellent news that Beth Dehn re-joined our Oregon Heritage team as of yesterday! Beth will be working with me to serve the OMS Network among other duties. Beth was the Oregon Heritage Commission Coordinator and brings a great deal of nonprofit experience including working with Road Scholar, an educational travel nonprofit for adults and intergenerational learners, and as Director of Education for Washington County Museum. Her nonprofit background has given Beth a strong understanding of the challenges for small nonprofit organizations in terms of funding and capacity. She is a great asset to our OMS team!

Ready, Set, Grant Oregon Main Street Just a reminder, if you are interested in learning more about grant writing, there are a few spaces left to participate in RDI's  Ready, Set, Grant training starting tomorrow, October 20. The first session starting this week will be recorded so you will have a chance to catch up before the next virtual session. The training is a series of five virtual weekly sessions targeted to Main Street downtown associations in Oregon. Classes will be designed for volunteers and staff working in rural Oregon downtowns who are new to fundraising and grant writing, or those who wish to brush up on their skills. This is a great opportunity to learn how you can find funding to support your Main Street activities. Registration fee is $50. Policy request If you host parades or street fairs with multiple vendors, do you have any policies in place regarding political statements? I had a request today for an example if any have policies you can share.
