  1. Grant Opportunities:
     * Oregon Arts Commission's Arts Build Communities (ABC) Grant Program Now Open: The ABC grant program provides $5,000 matching support to arts and other community-based organizations for projects that address a local community problem, issue or need through an arts-based solution. This grant program supports projects that address local community need through arts-based projects. This program recognizes the role that the arts play in the broad cultural, social, educational, economic and tourism sectors of community life. Support is provided to arts and other community-based organizations to form local partnerships to strengthen communities through projects that connect the arts with local challenges, issues, needs and opportunities. Applications are due October 3. * National Trust for Historic Preservation has several grant opportunities throughout the year. One of the programs, the National Trust Preservation Funds (NTPF) are intended to encourage preservation at the local level by supporting on-going preservation work and by providing seed money for preservation projects. These grants help stimulate public discussion, enable local groups to gain the technical expertise needed for preservation projects, introduce the public to preservation concepts and techniques, and encourage financial participation by the private sector. A small grant at the right time can go a long way and is often the catalyst that inspires a community to take action on a preservation project. Grants generally start at $2,500 and range up to $5,000. There are three deadlines per year in February, June, and October. Brought to you in partnership with Main Street America and Smart Growth America, the T-Mobile Hometown Grant program provides grants of up to $50,000 to help build stronger, more prosperous small towns and rural communities! Grants fund projects to build, rebuild, or refresh community spaces that help foster local connections in your community. For example, you could implement tech upgrades at your library, refresh a local park, or break ground on a new place where neighbors can connect. * Kinsman Foundation: One of their primary funding areas is historic preservation, specifically architectural preservation - the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and reconstruction of historic buildings, structures and related sites. Most of the projects they fund involve buildings that are listed in the National Register of Historic Places, either individually or as a contributing resource in an historic district. They will consider grants for historic preservation activities other than architectural preservation as a secondary interest. Historic Preservation grants are budgeted for approximately 40% of their total grants. Applications for Historic Preservation grants over $5,000 must be submitted by August 1st of each year to qualify. These grants are decided in September and are scheduled for distribution in November. Inquiries for grants of less than $5,000 are processed throughout the year, and there is no application deadline. Small grant applications will generally require 6-8 weeks to review. Click here<https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-e&q=kinsman+foundation> to learn more.
     * The Roundhouse Foundation: Their Small Grants program can support grassroots, innovative work and projects that may not have a need for a significant budget. Small grants also offer opportunities to explore and test new approaches and endeavors which can then be replicated for broader impact. For new partners, this is a great first-time grant program to consider as we get to know each other. Grant requests between $500 to $2,500. Who: 501(c)(3) organizations, government entities (including special districts) and Tribal governments serving rural Oregon, especially first-time partners.

Cycle: Reviewed at the beginning of each month, January through December. They also have an Open Call for proposals for projects in one of their funding priority areas. Click here<https://roundhousefoundation.org/how-to-apply-for-roundhouse-grants/> to learn more.
