1.      Open Door Pitch Contest: Just a reminder to submit your project/activity for the Oregon Main Street “Open Door” Pitch Contest by September 1 for a chance to win a $5,000 grant! Our Oregon Main Street Network organizations help create inclusive and welcoming environments that make all feel that they belong and are invited into the community. We want to encourage and support these efforts!

·        Round 2 – Applicants moving on to the next round will be notified by September 2, 2022.
You will have one month to put together your pitch and present in person at the closing plenary of the Oregon Main Street Conference in Klamath Falls. The pitch can be as creative as you like to get across the importance of the project to meeting your goals for creating a more welcoming downtown: a video, skit, presentation or more!


2.      Congratulations to The Dalles Main Street! The Dalles Main Street has been working for years on bringing a multi-day mural fest to their downtown by working with Walldogs. Last weekend they had over 300 people working on 15 murals over a 5-day period. 3.      Oregon Main Street Conference, October 5-7, Klamath Falls

Remember to register for the 2022 Oregon Main Street Conference, Oct 5-7, in beautiful downtown Klamath Falls!  Representation from each of the organizations participating in the Main Street track (Accredited MS, Designated MS, and Affiliated MS) is required. Plus, we have a special group rate of $325 in case you want to bring your whole board 😊. The OMS conference is a great opportunity to hear about new opportunities for improving your historic downtown or traditional commercial neighborhood district. From the dynamic and engaging sessions and plenaries to the informal, energizing conversations had in-between, attendees leave with fresh ideas and renewed passion for the impactful work you are doing or inspired to get started.
