[OMS_MANAGERS] Facade Improvement Grants

North Bend funds its façade improvement grant program from Urban Renewal Agency funds. I recently learned a Main Street Program could also apply for façade grant funds through the Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant.


  *   How much do you offer?



It is budgeted annually based on available funds. In FY22, the URA budgeted $187k for façade improvement grants.



  *   How much of a match do you require?



We reimburse 50% up to $25,000 per project or phase.



  *   Do you have different dollar amounts for buildings/facades that only benefit a smaller building/business vs a larger building with multiple businesses/doors/facades?



No. We have a façade grant program but recently added a redevelopment assistance grant program, which reimburses 20% of any approved project with the funding limit assigned by the URA Board on a case-by-case basis, subject to available overall funding.

I'm working with the City of West Linn on possibly including Façade Improvement Grants into our ARPA Funding package.  I was hoping to get examples already being done by other cities around the state.
