[OMS_MANAGERS] Murals and public comment/feedback

Hello Tkeisha,

As a local building owner in Stayton, my family has been very interested in
having a mural painted on a large wall on the outside of aour building.
In regards to the subject matter, as we understand it, the mural should be
non-commercial in content (ie not containing the business name or specific
objects for sale in the building).
It should not be an advertisement but rather an artistic representation of
historical content or an area-specific theme. The mural can also be purely
artistic with no particular historical context in design.

We have considered the past historical uses of our building to make a
montage of themes to portray. Our building was the town jail, the city
hall, the fire station, various retail establishments, and a couple of
local newspapers. So...a lot of history to consider!

*Ultimately, the design choice should rest with the building owner and
business owner* (if two separate parties).
It is nice to get public input or support and to consider adding a
recurring design element from other local murals (like the bigfoot), to
draw interest in a walking tour. One major item to consider is; who is
paying for the mural design and installation. That will also give some
perspective on design input.
