[OMS_MANAGERS] Package stores downtown?

We have a liquor store in our downtown district. We’ve never had an issue as far as I know. What are your concerns about this?

Our code treats it as any other retail establishment except charges an additional fee for licensing. I’m assuming this is because they must deal with the yearly renewal of their OLLC license, I wasn’t here when they set the fees for licensing.

Does anyone else have a liquor store downtown? Or an ordinance making it an unallowable use?

OLCC just approved a liquor store in Oregon City and because of our mixed use code, the liquor store will be moving into one of our best retail spots in downtown. It's probably too late to do anything about this one - the City Commission even disapproved their license for a downtown location and the OLCC overrode it - but my EV committee is interested in seeing if there were any other communities that have dealt with this or found a good solution.
