Main Street America is producing a Housing Guidebook publication. We are looking to include a variety of downtown housing types--ages, styles, etc.--found in Main Street communities of all sizes, composition, and geographic location, such as:
* Mixed use developments with ground-floor retail and upper-floor housing
* Housing-centric in-fill projects
* New or older multiplex and single-family residences within a commercial corridor
* Activated streets and public spaces that prominently depict housing developments and include people
* Rehabilitation or adaptive reuse projects in progress
* Active construction sites for new developments or projects to rehabilitate historic buildings for housing
* Newly rehabilitated or renovated buildings with upper-floor housing (before and after images preferred!)
* Upper stories designed for residential use, preferably well-maintained/activated
* Building with vacant space(s) in need of activation
If you have any high-resolution photos that show off your downtown's housing scene and would like for them to be considered for use in this publication--and any future MSA educational, promotional, and marketing materials--please send them to Alicia Gallo, agallo at savingplaces.org<mailto:agallo at savingplaces.org> by Wednesday, November 30.
