Thinking about disaster preparedness this May Day? Check out these Oregon Heritage resources: Many heritage organizations use May Day as a motivation to focus on disaster preparedness, response, and recovery planning at least once a year. Despite still being in the middle of the rainy season, it's never to early to start talking in your organization about preparing for the upcoming fire season. We have seen in the past several years the unpredictable places that fire will occur and the devastating impact they have on communities. Below are some resources Oregon Heritage has to help you think about disaster preparedness and we hope you will spend some time this May Day to consider reviewing your plan or taking a step to start one.

  * Oregon Heritage Disaster Preparedness, Recovery & Resilience resources<https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Pages/DisasterPrep.aspx> including an award winning guide to community disaster resilience planning for heritage resources.
