Is the New Executive Director Orientation something that I could attend? I wasn't sure if we could participate or not. I would like to learn as much as possible about the program.

We will be working on our strategic plan soon. It will be pretty basic but we feel we need to start that process.

And, make sure to put June 1 and 29 on your calendars when Donna Harris with Heritage Consulting will join us for two special sessions to strengthen your organization. We encourage you to invite board members and/or your Outreach/Organization committee members to these sessions.

  *   June 1: Who Cares About Bylaws? Donna will give an overview of the role bylaws play in downtown organizations, key “must have” provisions, and how to amend them for a more effective operations.
  *   June 29: We contracted with Donna to update the simple policies and procedure handbook we have for local organizations. Donna will re-join us to give an overview of the handbook and how you can use in your organization.
