Oh my gosh we use to have the same problem until we replaced our hardware. We order our banners and harder from DiJulio Displays. We live on the coast as well. Our 29”x84” banners hang from Single BannerSaver Medium banner bracket sets, attached to wooden electric poles. We did have to buy longer bolts than what was provided. The hardware we purchased has a spring that allows the banner to move with the wind. You can add a band for increased safety.

We've had a few detach due to wind storms and need to find another option that will be more secure. Hope to hear back soon :)
