[OMS_MANAGERS] Survey of business needs/wants

Hi Kyle,

We recently held a series of three round table sessions with some of our
key tourism focused groups (restaurants, wineries/tasting rooms, lodging
partners). Our goal was to determine key themes and strategies that
increase overnight stays in Carlton (increase our TLT).

We wanted to take a deep dive with each group to understand priorities and
pain points. While it took time to coordinate, we gained some valuable
insights and built better relationships with these businesses. The results
we achieved you can't get out of a survey. We were able to identify leaders
who can drive these strategies forward.

We did this in collaboration with the City of Carlton Tourism Committee and
the Carlton Business Association. It was important that we remain agnostic
and have transparent conversations with all businesses regardless of
association. We ended up gaining some more CBA members as a result. These
groups lacked an understanding for how tourism money is raised and spent in
our community. It was a really good opportunity for us to educate and
motivate.
