[OMS_MANAGERS] Trick or Treat Maps

I should add, we don’t do a map.
We drop off black & orange balloons and curling ribbons to the businesses and our marketing says to look for the balloons.
Some years, Promo has inflated the balloons with helium and delivered the day of. If the weather’s cold the helium condenses and the balloons droop quickly. It’s better to just hang the balloons from an awning or sign or attach them to trees or poles that are already at the business.
I’ve found that uninflated balloons and ribbons dropped off in a Ziplock work fine. We often do 2 orange and 1 black for higher visibility. If we have volunteers or staff time available Thursday or Friday, to deliver in advance that’s great. Sometimes we simply tape the Ziplock bags to the door early Saturday morning before the businesses open. They remember to put the balloons out as they are at eye level when they arrive 😊
Thanks,
Lise

No, in Albany we just list them on our website event and on a FB post. Instagram has a character limit, so we refer people to our website. Instagram doesn’t support links, so our website link, volunteer link and others are in a linktr.ee in our Instagram profile (trick learned at a quarterly OMS network meeting). Best practices are to get people off of sites you can’t control (i.e. social media) and to your website or company app where you have control.
Thanks,
Lise

Hello,
Is there an app you all use to list what businesses are participating in trick or treating?
Thank you,
