Seeking submissions highlighting the importance of developing a vision and strategic direction for downtown to guide any changes to maintain downtown’s vitality. This includes investing in creating a sustainable organization, engaging all members of the community, inspiring people to contribute time and resources, working incrementally, communicating progress, being flexible – all the things to build a structural support over the long haul. “Grants from the National Grant Program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund (AACHAF) are designed to advance historic preservation projects at sites related to Black history in the United States.” Deadline: February 14, 2025.

“Resource Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) AmeriCorps Program is to increase the capacity of rural communities to improve their economic, social, and environmental conditions, through the assistance of trained graduate-level members who live and work in communities for 11 months.” Applications for University of Oregon’s RARE program are due on April 1, 2025.
