OMS Updates
Mornings on Main | Third Thursdays
Sunsetting Events: Policies & Processes to Let Go | April 23rd, 2026
We have heard many of you talk about events that are part of your annual workplans that are either no longer serving you as an organization or you at least suspect they're not. Whether its due to capacity challenges, organizational budget, income vs. expense mismatch, or misalignment with your mission - there's a lot of reasons to let go of an event. Two of our Main Street community leaders will join us to talk about the processes in their organizations that assess and evaluate the thought of "when to let go." Megan Dompe from Coburg and Kirsten Agard from Beaverton Downtown Association will share what they have found to be successful, including some policy examples that you can take home to your organizations and put into practice. Main Street Now & Heritage Conference Share Outs | May 7th & May 14th
During our Mornings on Main calls in early May, we will use this as an opportunity for those of you who will have attended the Main Street Now and/or Heritage Conference to share out some reflections. Whether it be lessons learned, resources gained, or conversations had - please come prepared to share with your fellow Main Streets.
Summer Networking Meeting | June 22nd & 23rd
Reminder to Accredited, Designated, and Affiliated communities, our summer networking meeting is going to be held in St. Helens on June 22nd & 23rd. Registration information will be sent out shortly after Main Street Now is over. Be on the lookout for this & prepare for it. Our normal timeline from 12-5:30 on day 1 and 8-12:30 on day 2 will be consistent.
