<DIV>2. National Trust Preservation Fund Grants Available for Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon & Washington</DIV>
<DIV><BR>The National Trust for Historic Preservation is inviting applications from nonprofit organizations with current 501(c)3 status, as well as local governments and public agencies, for its National Trust Preservation Fund/ NTPF grants<<A href="http://www.preservationnation.org/resources/find-funding/nonprofit-public-funding.html">http://www.preservationnation.org/resources/find-funding/nonprofit-public-funding.html</A>>.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Matching grants from the National Trust Preservation Fund are awarded annually in three competitive rounds - February 1, June 1, and October 1 - and may be used for a variety of preservation projects such as feasibility studies or historic structures reports for endangered buildings and sites; landscape research and planning; fund-raising and media campaigns; and interpretation and heritage education activities. </DIV>

<DIV>Actual "bricks and mortar" construction, repair and rehabilitation work are not eligible. </DIV>

<DIV>The grants typically range from $2,000 to $5,000 and require dollar-for-dollar match.</DIV>

<DIV><BR>The Hart Fund was established in 2004 to assist small town preservation and revitalization initiatives around the country, with a focus on towns with population of 5,000 or less. It operates within the framework of the NTPF grants - same application, same eligibility requirements, same match requirements - a one to one match.</DIV>

<DIV>With historic interiors, the Trust is always looking for creative projects that go beyond the usual activities. So, if you know of a historic interior, including its architectural elements, finishes and furnishings, that needs to be surveyed, researched, interpreted, and/or revaluated prior to undertaking an interior restoration or historic rehabilitation, consider applying to the Mitchell Fund.</DIV>
