<DIV>3. DEADLINE APPROACHES FOR NEH HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS<BR>GRANTS </DIV>

<DIV>NEH has posted new application guidelines at <A href="http://www.neh.gov">www.neh.gov</A> for the<BR>America's Historical and Cultural Organizations grant competition, with<BR>an upcoming deadline of August 17 and future deadline of January 11,<BR>2012. The grants will fund humanities projects intended for broad public<BR>audiences at museums, libraries, historic sites and other historical and<BR>cultural organizations. Grants support interpretive exhibitions, reading<BR>or film discussion series, historic site interpretation, lecture series<BR>and symposia, and digital projects. NEH especially encourages projects<BR>that offer multiple formats and make creative use of new technology to<BR>deliver humanities content. Program officers in the Division of Public<BR>Programs will provide assistance, including discussion of project ideas<BR>or reading draft proposals.
