<div>In Salem we are also talking about banners but are perplexed about which direction to go. We see great banners in Corvallis and Portland advertising upcoming community events, and we also see many banners advertising the city (Welcome to Salem,etc) but
we don't see many banners that are just pretty. Plain banners with nice design, color and movement and no words. Is there a reason for that? </div>

<div>Also, our downtown has has dinky banners that are attached top and bottom so they don't flutter. To me, one of the great things about banners is the movement. Are there optimum sizes for banners based on the width of a road? Any information about banners
would be appreciated.</div>

We were wondering about Open Banners on your streets, have heard good reviews? Seems like most of the reasons for having them is to give an option for on street signage and keep other signs from becoming an annoyance? We were also concerned if you see them
as street clutter? I am just looking for some information on how the banners have been received by booth community members and business owners? We are discussing this in committee. I thought some feedback from communities with the banners would be helpful.</div>
