Until now, the CBDA has required that each vendor purchase and submit their own insurance. However, we heard from some of our smaller vendors that they are unable to participate in the festival because of the cost of the insurance. We have been looking at the idea of CBDA purchasing and holding the general liability insurance that would cover all of the vendors. We would then raise the vendor fee slightly to cover our cost. Does anyone currently purchase event insurance for their festivals or farmers' markets? Has it been successful?
