12:30 p.m., July 23. The Federal Historic Tax Credit serves as an important incentive for the preservation and rehabilitation of commercial and rental residential historic buildings. It is one of the Federal government’s most successful and cost-effective
community revitalization programs. The results of the program are evident throughout the country through the return of vacant and underused buildings to productive use. The 90-minute webinar will review the basics of the Federal Historic Tax Credit and attendees

Downtown designation levels. Organizations at these levels receive access to the highest level of services and support available through the program’s “Tier System Network.” The network also includes Affiliate and Exploring Downtown levels of participation.
Successful applicants receive assistance to help revitalize the economy, appearance, and image of their traditional business district. Services vary from community to community, but generally include work plan and committee development along with specialized
training and networking opportunities.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
