<p class="MsoNormal">The NAR encourages state and local REALTOR Associations and their members to become engaged in thir communities to make them a better place to live and work. NAR’s Community Outreach Programs support these efforts by providing funding,
resources, and training. Their Placemaking and Neighborhood Revitalization effort is directly related to Main Street. Some of the resources they provide through this program are Placemaking Guide, Webinars, Blog, Placemaking Micro-Grant, and Smart Growth Grant.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>NATIONAL PRESERVATION ACT TURNS 50<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act and the centennial of the National Park Service in 2016, the NPS has started a social media campaign to highlight preservation work done in all 50 states for the
last 50 years. Using a common hashtag, a state or territory will be featured each week. Oregon will be featured the week of Aug. 1. All are invited to post about places and share preservation stories. More information can be found at
