<p class="MsoNormal">Would anyone be interested in a Main Street Weekend Getaway Gift Basket swap.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Albany Downtown Association has an upcoming fundraiser called Mixology Madness on March 17. It’s a fun, stylish evening centered around a cocktail contest with sampling. Most of the cocktails are made offsite by local restaurants, smuggled
to the event and blind tasted by judges and attendees. This year, we’re adding a live bartender contest as well.

<p class="MsoNormal">Another piece of the event is a silent auction. This is where the idea of a Main Street Weekend Getaway Gift Basket swap would come in. Our committee thought a fun silent auction item would be a weekend getaway basket from another Oregon
Main Street. Ours would look something like – Lunch at Novak’s, a growler / tap house stop, Dinner at Sybaris, Pix Theater movie tickets, Night at Dawson House B&B, Brunch at Brick & Mortar, Albany Carousel tokens, Regional Museum certificate, etc.

<p class="MsoNormal">We’d work with the other Main Street to make sure it’s equitable. We can discuss a physical swap or create a graphic display and exchange the various certificates electronically. If multiple managers like this idea, we could look at a way
to swap around on a periodic basis, so we’ll have a pool of different Main Street Getaways.<o:p></o:p></p>
