walking tours lined up as part of the conference schedule:<o:p></o:p></span></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]><b><u><span style="color:#1F497D">Women in Business</span></u></b><span style="color:#1F497D"> is sponsored in partnership with the Small Business Development Center. The tour will loop through downtown with stops at several businesses
where women owners will talk about their experience and growth as entrepreneurs, and how their networking with one another continues to grow and improve their individual businesses. Each one of the women we will visit with has had a unique path to where they
are now, and each has a different vision of where they are going. Arlene Soto from SBDC will be on hand to talk about some of the programs that the SBDC offers specifically designed for female entrepreneurs, and how to access them in your community.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]><b><u><span style="color:#1F497D">Downtown Tillamook Traffic Improvement Project</span></u></b><b><span style="color:#1F497D">
</span></b><span style="color:#1F497D">will highlight a radical reconfiguration of the downtown streetscape and show how the process led to the growth of the district and created an opportunity to spin the project in to a way that allowed for the promotion
of the downtown district weekly for two solid years. The project included the closure of a street block for a pedestrian plaza, the beginning of the under-grounding of utilities in downtown, a reduction in the quantity of parking but an improvement in the
quality and safety of the parking, a new four lane bridge that replaced a undersized two lane bridge, a walking trail that makes up the first completed stretch of the massive Salmonberry Trail Project, the addition of bioswales and rebuilding of an inadequate
stormwater system, and a unification of the downtown businesses in a way that had never happened before. The project had numerous unanticipated complications, and this is a tour of advocacy, survival, and growth.

</span></span></span><![endif]><b><u><span style="color:#1F497D">Urban Renewal Loop</span></u></b><span style="color:#1F497D"> highlight the broad range of experiments that have been attempted by the “TURA” (Tillamook Urban Renewal Agency), tracing back to
the early days and the adoption of the plan to the decision to redraw the district, and take us through projects public and private in a range of arenas- from the repair of lateral lines to pedestrian connectivity to business incubation space, TURA has been
an ever-evolving experiment that is in the midst of yet another transitional period, and we will have speakers on the tour to share the entire story.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
