<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:#212121">Bandon used to do this and we anchored it in a large and deep hole at our visitor center. After going through the hassle of finding and cutting down and hauling in large trees year after
year, GBA started a campaign to raise money to purchase a live tree.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:#212121">We agreed to put up $800 if twelve investors from the community put up $200 apiece, that is tripled our commitment. With that we found a tree farm in Gresham that delivered the tree to
us in Bandon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:#212121">It was a major win for us and the community as a significant minority had questioned the waste of cutting down very mature trees for what mounted to a four week celebration.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
