<span style="text-decoration:none">Fall 2023 Small Business Survey</span></a>. MSA invites you to encourage your local programs to share it with the small business owners in their communities. This survey is designed to be shorter and simpler, and focused on
identifying strengths of the Main Street network and some potential pathways to deepening our impact. It is available in English and Spanish. Responses from small business owners are welcome through Monday, November 20. The survey is tailored to, and primarily
intended for, small business owners, however other local leaders are free to review the survey and respond to the questions. Survey results will be shared in December.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u><span style="color:#C55A11;mso-style-textfill-fill-color:#C55A11;mso-style-textfill-fill-alpha:100.0%">Applications open for Oregon Heritage conference scholarship<o:p></o:p></span></u></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">The Oregon Heritage Preservation Scholarship provides financial assistance for Oregon residents to attend a preservation-related (historic preservation, archives, museums, Main Street, historic cemeteries, etc.)
conference, workshop, or training. Eligible travel expenses include registration fees, transportation (e.g. air fare, personal vehicle mileage, etc.), and lodging. Scholarships are non-competitive and offered twice per year. The cycle open now is for conferences
taking place between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024. The application deadline is December 1, 2023. The
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Documents/EWPScholarshipGuidelines2023.pdf">
guidelines</a> and online application <a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Documents/EWPScholarsihpOnlineInstructions2023.pdf">
instructions</a> provide details such as eligible conferences.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">Award amounts will be $100-$1000 depending on the number of applicants. Funds will be dispersed evenly.

<i>Oregon Heritage Exchange </i>blog, a public presentation, or some other way approved by Oregon Heritage. The scholarship is offered by Oregon Heritage, part of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, in honor of Elisabeth Walton Potter. Potter was a
long-time historian with the State Historic Preservation Office and coordinator for the National Register of Historic Places program in Oregon.
