It is effective every July 1, so a business could get $500 in June and re-applying July for another $500.</div><div>I do not know how fast or easy it is to apply for this $500. I do know that most businesses we have talked to just kind of blow it off, since $500 is not much, and their buildings all need more. But really, for a small business, $500 is 3-4 gallons of quality paint or 2-3 broken windows replaced. </div><div>I was told that the reason it is only $500 for materials is that a few businesses took advantage of the money being given, and they charged for their labor. Our town is too small to fund property owner’s own labor in their own buildings. But we will give them money for some materials. </div><div>I hope that helps! </div><div>Regards, </div><div>Sally </div><div><br></div><div><br id="lineBreakAtBeginningOfSignature"><div dir="ltr">Sent from my iPhone<div>Sally Gilcrease</div><div>503-307-0807 mobile</div><div><br></div></div><div dir="ltr"><br><blockquote type="cite">On Sep 25, 2024, at 5:05 PM, Sheridan Revitalization <revitalizesheridan@gmail.com> wrote:<br><br></blockquote></div><blockquote type="cite"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div>Hi All,</div><div><br></div><div>Our small non-profit has fundraised for projects to help revitalize downtown Sheridan. We have about $6000 available for this. We have done a couple public art projects and annual clean-ups, but we would like to focus on getting financial support for some of the businesses in the downtown core that need painting, power washing and just smaller clean-up projects. For many, doing matching grants like Main Street are currently out of reach.</div><div><br></div><div>Is it a thing where you give money to businesses who submit proposals for this kind of work?
