<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">The Oregon Heritage Commission is gathering input from the heritage preservation community to help inform the update on the statewide Oregon Heritage Plan.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">Since all of you are deeply involved in local preservation efforts, we have a dedicated an input session just for those participating in the Certified Local Government program, Oregon Main Street network, and
designated Heritage All-Star Communities. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt"><b>Oregon Heritage Statewide Plan input session for CLGs/Main Street Network/All-Star Communities – online, Nov. 12, 10:30am-12pm<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">The Oregon Heritage Commission is in the process of updating the statewide Oregon Heritage Plan (you can see the current plan
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Documents/2020_Oregon_Heritage_Plan.pdf">
here</a>). This plan is different than a strategic plan because it’s <b>a</b> <b>
call to action for heritage efforts</b> across the state, at the local, regional, and state level, to unite around common goals. The resulting goals of the final plan can help do the following:<o:p></o:p></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">Align the Heritage Commission’s initiatives and technical assistance with helping heritage organizations working towards the identified goals.
<o:p></o:p></li><ul style="margin-top:0in" type="circle">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level2 lfo3">The Heritage Commission provides grants, resources, and develops initiatives to find solutions to address collective challenges that those doing heritage preservation work in Oregon
have in carrying out their missions. <o:p></o:p></li></ul>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">Provide a framework for other statewide service organizations and agencies to align their programs to help heritage organizations work towards these goals<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">Provide a framework and support for local heritage organizations in prioritizing and planning projects and processes and getting support from partners, stakeholders, grant makers, and
decision makers. <o:p></o:p></li></ul>
