[OPEUreppms] Working Toward SEIU Requested 'Paperless Office'

TO: HR Directors/Managers of SEIU Represented Agencies

 

August 6, 2008, you received a communication from me about this issue
below from SEIU.   Several agencies responded and were interested in
agreeing to the paperless office concept.

 

Sharon McKeehan, Donna Lantz and other LRU staff are planning to meet
with the SEIU to address concerns about the security of the process,
especially the SSN numbers if they remain on the SEIU membership
application.  Sharon will also invite management members of the
Statewide Payroll Advisory Council to attend this meeting. SEIU is
willing to discuss the various problems that may be raised about the
paperless process.  

 

For agencies that did not respond to the earlier communication about
this issue sent August 6, 2008, if you have any concerns about this
process, please send me a communication expressing your concerns and
interests for this discussion with the SEIU.

 

We will keep you updated about the discussions and potential resolutions
to try to address the State's and SEIU's interests.
