[OPEUreppms] Communication During Bargaining

We have received examples of several communications from SEIU
representatives to employees.  The SEIU representatives are trying to
organize employee delegates to meet with the highest level managers in
their work sites to tell them what they think of (the state's) proposal
and asking management to relay employee thoughts to their Director or
agency heads.  This effort may occur on site with management or by
telephone during the noon hours today.

 

We are asking you to alert executive and management staff to anticipate
being contacted by employees.  Please advise them to refrain from
discussing bargaining positions with agency employees.  You may consider
amending and re-sending an earlier communication that we asked you last
fall to send to executive and management employees.  For your use, we
have attached the draft memo we sent you last fall.
