Greetings All:  

 

It's bargaining time again!  It is our goal to keep you informed
throughout the bargaining process regarding the positions of the state
and union for economic and non-economic issues.  To that end, we plan on
sending regular updates following bargaining sessions.  Currently our
distribution list includes the SEIU represented agency HR Administrator
or Manager.  If you prefer someone else in your Agency to be the
recipient of confidential updates, please let me know as soon as
possible.  

 

Additionally, we will assign a bargaining team member as a liaison to
your agency.  You will receive notification prior to January 10, 2011 of
your Agency liaison.  As you may know, the size of the state's
bargaining team is limited.  For those of you whose agency does not have
a bargaining team member, the assigned liaison will be your point of
contact for bargaining issues.  The liaison will communicate with you as
needed to provide to you, or to request from you, information to assist
in bargaining.  We thank you in advance for your timely assistance.  

 

Update #1

 

The State and the SEIU met on December 8, 2010 to begin bargaining for
the 2011-2013 successor collective bargaining agreement.  While no
substantive proposals were exchanged yet, we did reach agreement on the
ground rules for bargaining (attached).  We also agreed on future
bargaining dates as noted below.

 

Future Bargaining Dates with SEIU Central Table (Monday and Tuesday
every other week):

January 10, 11, 24, 25

February 7, 8, 28 

March 1, 7, 8, 21, 22,

April 4, 5, 18, 19

May 2, 3, 16, 17
