From Anna.SIKEL at oregon.gov Fri Dec 4 15:46:54 2015 From: Anna.SIKEL at oregon.gov (SIKEL Anna * DAS) Date: Fri, 4 Dec 2015 23:46:54 +0000 Subject: [OPEUreppms] Update: 2015-2019 SEIU CBA Message-ID: Happy Friday, Many of you have been wondering when the printed SEIU contracts are going to be delivered. We originally were looking at the second week of December, however there was a slight set back when it was discovered Article 4 - Term of Agreement had no re-opener language for the successor bargaining Agreement in 2019. The re-opener language has been agreed to, and the new language has been inserted into the contract. The printer is currently making the changes, and the Union and I will begin final proof review on Monday. My understanding is delivery of contracts could begin as early as December 21st if the review goes smoothly on Monday. Here is a copy of the new language for your records: ARTICLE 4--TERM OF AGREEMENT Section 1. (a) This Agreement shall become effective on July 1, 2015, or such later date as it receives full acceptance by the Parties, and expires June 30, 2019, except where state specifically otherwise in the Agreement. (b) Either Party may give written notice during the period of October 15 - November 15, 2018, of its desire to negotiate a successor Agreement. (c) Negotiations shall commence the first week of December 2018, or such other date as may be mutually agreed to by the Parties. Thank you for your patience.
