Dear rooters,
Please bear with us as I iron out some glitches with the Information Systems people. The password that was referred to in the greeting message and which was randomly generated as part of the Welcome message to each list member is not essential to being part of the list. The password is necessary if you want to switch your options, (for example switching to digest mode) or to unsubscribe. This is a feature of this new software and a means of protecting you from having somebody switch your account on you. If you are happy with just sitting back and letting the messages come in and you do not need to change anything you should be set.
You can email me if you need further clarification. However, I am being hit hard with error messages from every quarter so it may take me a bit of time to get back to you. You might also be able to make any adjustment to your account by sending a message to:
or-roots-request at sosinet.sos.state.or.us
put "help" in the subject line or body of the message (without the quotes) and you will get back a message with instructions.
Thanks for your patience.
Regards
Layne Sawyer
