I would second Cecil's advice on attachments, the sleeping beauty virus has
been circulating widely among those who still haven't had sense enough to
invest in virus protection and it embarrassed me the other day as I wasn't
alert enough not to try opening it, fortunately Norton took care of it for
me.

The other thing I would like to suggest is for those who are ANNOYED by all
this unwanted email, until they can get their password and get off the list,
they can use the subject or sender column to group this email, though now
that these are identified by sender rather than or roots list it isn't as
easy and they can delete in bunches.

I have been with out electricity for 36 hours and just got back on line to
find 87 messages waiting for me so I don't have a lot of sympathy for people
complaining about a list that generally has a fourth of the activity it has
had the last few days, I was on a dozen or so lists at one time when I
thought I had more time for the "dead relatives" and sometimes deleted
everything that didn't ahve a surname of interest to me without even reading
most of them because I couldn't deal with the volume.
