Vergene, My Walters is Elizabeth Walters B. 1808 in SC.  She married Philip Snook June 23, 1831.  They came to Oregon, probably 1844.  They were in the Salem, Marion County area and Philip died Marion County August 31, 1851.  Elizabeth took out a donation land claim in Skamonia County of what is now Washington, as his widow, and raised their 7 children.  I don't have any information on her parents or siblings.
