Am looking for descendants of Albert and  Mary (Mahrer) Schneider who
walked the Oregon Trail.  A letter was found dated 1950 from a man in
Pittsburgh related to the Mahrer line. My greatgrandmother, Franziska
Mahrer of Möhlin, Kanton Aagau, Switzerland was Mary's sister.  In this
letter from a Mr. Miller, he states Mary married Albert Schneider/Snyder
and went to Oregon. He also says Mary's daughter, Mathilda, was a twin
as were two of her brothers. Then a son, Irwin, also had  girl/boy
twins.

My greatgrandmother was a twin to Mathilda (Mahrer) Neckerman in
Pittsburg. The Mahrer line has the twin gene.

I have noticed that on the Lone Oak/Stayton cemetery records on the
internet, Mary's last name is listed as Mohr.  I have found similar
Mahrer variations in Pittsburgh; i.e., Moore, Morrow for this family.

I would like to make contact with the descendants.
