Since I'm very new, I may have no clue what I'm talking about BUT..... when
I talked to another cemetary, they told me that in Oregon there has to be an
"application for burial" which is maintained by the cemetary and has records
of parents, place of birth etc. I haven't actually seen one yet, so this
may be very iffy info, but it surprised me when she laughed and said "yeah,
death certs are locked up for 50 years, but the burial certs are readily
available by writing to the cemetary itself and paying a small fee."
Just a thought - Kathy Thomas
By the way, I am still looking for info on Thomas and Taylor in Portland
area in 1925 and earlier. I have census info showing them on Mississippi
Ave in 1920. There is a John Thomas living near Portland who is my husbands
half-uncle that we'd like to find.
I got a book yesterday of the "Houses of Portland 1850-1950" that has some
terrific pictures in it!

Subject: [or-roots] Missing Miller graves
Rockcreek Cemetery, near Haines Oregon
Two Miller children died with their mother, Minerva Ann Creighbaum Miller
in an epidemic in late 1910-20. The graves were reported to have been next
to son Charlie who lies beside Minerva. George S. Miller, father is beside
Minerva.
Three white crosses mark these graves. (I put them up in 1997.
Anyone with information on these children, please email.
Thanks
