Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am looking for information for
the surname of Biehle. The Biehle's that I am looking for are the following:
Frank(Father),
Nellie(Mother), Richard H. (1st Son), Benjamin Franklin (2nd Son), and Walter
H. (3rd Son), and a brother to Frank who was Robert.
What I know of these relatives is that Frank belong to the Eintracht Society
of Portland, and died in Multnomah County in the state of Oregon on April 5,
1882.
Nellie Biehle had been divorced from Frank awhile before he died. She
remarried a William T. Humbert in San Francisco, California in 1881. In the
years of 1898-1900 I know that she was in Los Angeles, California with or
near her son Benjamin Franklin.
Richard H. born 1873 in Oregon, and died June 25, 1883, Multnomah County
Oregon.
Benjamin F. born 1875 and died in Santa Monica, California on July 23, 1923.
His death was an accident. He was trying to catch a trolley and lost his
footing and slipped off and was killed by the trolley.
Walter F. born 1877 and died October 15, 1898, on the Columbia River, by an
explosion on the Torpedo Boat "Davis." He was a resident of Multnomah County.
After their father passed away, the minors were appointed a Guardian by the
courts.
Because Nellie didn't have the means to care for the children, and their
uncle Robert Biehle didn't want the responsibility. Their Guardian was a man
by the name of George Herrall, and the bondsman was Emil Zietfuchs.
Other surnames are: Davis, Dufur and Holmes.
If anyone has any information I would appreciate it greatly.
Thank you,
Lance Hodge
