[or-roots] Smiths of Coquille

My great uncle, Frank E. Smith and his wife Phebe (that's how she spelled
it) lived in Coquille starting in the 1930's, having moved there from the
east coast.  He was from Eden, New York (Erie County), and the family can be
traced back to the 17th century in many lines in New England. Frank died in
the 1940's aged 70 something, and was survived by his wife, a few years
younger, and an adult son named Wade Smith.  The family had lost touch, and
I can't find any record of Phebe or Wade.  Does anybody have any clue for
me?  Anyone interested in Erie County New York I have lots of information.
