If your outlook express is up-to-date you can delete just the obits without losing other messages.  Simply go to the top and click on message and then click on 'create rule from message' and click on 'where the subject line contains specific words', then click 'delete it', then in the next box click on the blue print and follow instructions by typing in: [or-roots] OBIT REPORT.  That should send it directly to deleted items folder.  I hope that is clear enough, as my computerese is in the thingamabob category.
