Speaking of the winter of 49/50 my wife and I Married on January 29th
1950 in Portland. We woke up to 8" of corn snow. Every one invited was
present for the ceremony. I recorded the high temperature for the next
few days:::: Jan 29th = 8; 30th = 10; 31st= -2; Feb 1st = -1; 2nd
-3; and on Feb 3rd the temp was a warm 4 degrees. I remember it so well.
Jiggs in Beaverton ps we are still married.
