[or-roots] New computer

Your computer guru can transfer the entire contents of your old hard drive to your new computer. You leave it safe and sound hiding in its own corner until you are SURE everything you want is working well in it's new environment, THEN and only then you delete the old stuff to make room for all that new stuff you are adding.
My new computer has been up and running for a year and a half and the old stuff is still hiding in it's corner. I may need it again some day. After a year I did delete the old operating system.

Oh yes, I learned that last summer when my ME program started going bad.......thought I was transferring all the good stuff, but it didn't really burn, just said it was doing it's job.
When I got my first computer the discussion went something like this.........Hubby said, "Honey, it will be good for your mind"......there are times I wonder if it isn't messing the mind up big time.
Again I thank everyone for all their good information and tips. I had never thought of putting the hard drive into the new computer....however, grandson is going to get it, and start some college classes via internet.
