People who don't like this can go to the other Oregon list.  They have absolutely no sense of humor over
there either.
 
If you want to make progress on this list, you need to define what progress is, to you.  For example,
instead of "watching" this list (it isn't a "site"), you could ask us a question.
 
With the people on this list, and their willingness to look things up, jump on and add to (or disagree
with -- see the comments on the Willamette and boat travel, or my comments on the use of the term
"landed"), you will get, at the very least, a direction to go in.
 
If you expect that we are going to read your needs via some empathic ooohhhmmmm, you will be disappointed.
We are all (well, almost all) human beings, and we banter back and forth like the cousins we may be.
Makes for a happy list, and a happy list is a productive list.
 
And, never forget where your delete key is.

If you all think you are doing this for geneology reasons.  I think you are all wrong I have been watching
this site for a while and have not seen any progress.  This site just seems to be another type of chat
room.  If you would all stop correcting each other and actually get to business of what this site is for
you all might get something done.
