Walt,

Hope everyone is safe and the damage is minimal.

My sister is still without power.  She is up in the West Hills at Salem.  She had phone all day but it seems to be out now.  She reported 12 to 14 inches of snow on her deck.  Because she heats with electricity she was refusing to open the door and let the warms out, so had not done a damage survey.

I sit safely??  in Bend with about a foot of snow but since this is one in a long string of storms this winter, it does not look like we have any damage.  

My son's boss called about 12:30 this afternoon to let him know not to plan on working this evening.  He had already shut the store down for the day.  

If anyone missed the news there was a slide off of Hogg Rock this afternoon.  Took about an hour for them to get it cleared and traffic moving again.  After driving by there on the 26th I can see why it would slide with all of the snow they have had up there.  No vegetation after the fire last summer.  

Too bad I have to be out on the roads early tomorrow.  Looks like another good day to stay home and stay warm. [Semi-annual scrap and polish at the dentist's office.]

  Well Now we can all remember the big storm of 2003 we just got our power back on after 16 hr. We had a tree fall on the back of the house and one is hanging onto my power line coming into the house. I went out this morning
