The Portland, Eugene and Eastern Railway Company ran a line from Portland to Beaverton towards Forest
Grove. There was a branch line from Beaverton that swung southeast to Cook. Since Metzger appears to
be northeast of Tigard, I suggest that is the one you are looking for.
This from "The Red Electrics; Southern Pacific's Oregon Interurban" by Tom Dill and Walter R. Grande.
Pacific Fast Mail, Edmonds, Washington, 1994.
You can read more about the line here: http://www.pnwc-nrhs.org/rr-history/rr-history-PEE.html

Subject: [or-roots] ELECTRIC RAILROAD IN METZGER, OR.
Is there anyone out there that remembers the electric railroad that went from Portland, to Metzger and
Tigard and beyond? My grandfather, W.Z.G.Steele, built his home and store across the road from it on 87th
Ave. between Locust & Oak Sts. in Metzger, OR in 1911. Would like to know where I can get some info about
it.
