Rosalie - glad that Stephenie Flora's website helped you. Anytime you are 
looking for Oregon Trail people that's an excellent place to check. Her website 
is really outstanding.

There is also a book by Shirley O'Neil: Polk County Pioneers - a Study of the 
Inhabitants Listed in the 1850 Federal Census of Polk County, Oregon, that 
has quite a lot on Solomon Tetherow. Shirley has also included articles on the 
Tetherows from a couple of other books. This book can be purchased from the 
Polk County Historical Society for $30.00.

As for the census: in 1850 Solomon and family are on the Polk County census, 
house #60 and on the 1860 census in Luckimute (sic) Precinct #677. In 1870, 
70-year old Solomon Tetherow is living with his son Andrew Jackson Tetherow's 
family in Polk County. Solomon's wife died in 1869. His Donation Land Claim in 
Polk County is # 3567.  You can get that complete record from the Oregon State 
Archives.
