Thomas Leabo was an 1890 farmer of 8 Mile was born in Nebraska son of Josiah
and Nancy Stone Leabo 1862 emigrants to La Grande and Yaquina Bay After the
parents death in the Willamette Valley Thomas Leabo came to 8 mile and
homesteaded 1890 and married Arthel Darnielle, daughter of Amos, whose
Biography is listed on page 293 and their children were: 1. E>L> Leabo, 8
Mile
farmer who married Etherl Doyle, daughter of C>R> Doyle and their children
were Blanche(Mrs. Ira Hull) in California and Vera (Mrs. Fred LaDuc Salem
who
have Jaqulin
2. Iva(Mrs. J>A> Davidson ) 8 Mile farmers whose children are Daisy Victor
Thomapson Hood River who have a son Bob 2. Melvin Davidson, mayor of the
Dalles (1952) married Catherine Crooks and haveJames , ED and Cathy; 3. Tom
Davidson, single, 8 mile farmer;4. Ted Davidson 8 mile Farmer who married
Barbara Clark; 5 June Mrs. Dave Roundtree The Dalles.
3.  Miles C. Leabo retird 8 mile farmer and Dalles Insurance agent, married
Ethel Gerking and have
 1. Darrel Leabo, appliance dealer of the Dalles who married Edith
Kiederoski
and have son Don
 2. Donald Leabo, World War 2 Vetherine lost in the naval typhoon of
December
18 1944  of December 18, 1944 off the Phillippine islands engulfing the
destroyer Hull with total loss of every sailor aboard.
 3. Zona (Mrs. Jack Athanas) 8 mile farmers who have Linda, Phil Bob ans
Susie.

*from Mrs. Davidson"There were 4 children-Lester, Iva Mae, a son who died
just
before xmas holiday about age 4 uncertain of his name but may be burried in
Mardham (pioneer) cemetery along wih (perhaps grandparent on Leabo side)
Mrs.
Iva May Leabo Davidson and daughter Daisy Davidson Thomson visited in French
Prairie and visited cemeteries containing releatives, close and far flung I
wanst into genealogy too much then as I had 4 children mid 50's my youngest
was barely 7 when Iva died.

Father Died at age 75 of Pneumonia
Mother Died at age 75 of Rose Cancer

Daily of January 21 Thomas Leabo, resident of Eight Mile district for the
last
41 years, will be held at 11 oclock tommorrow morning from Crandall's Rev.
Charles Bennet of the the Advent Christian church of Lebanon officiating
 Pallbearers for the service will be Henry Yager, Oscar Angell, Harry
Williams
and Jay Williams.  Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
