should not have been on or roots, it was a result of using ( reply to all)
and Cecil's Cc's
   Just to make note on this; I was acting on the complaints of many members
who were/are tired of his posts and rants.

    Cecil = point blank to you .
 I say this!
     Most ** most ** of your posts are in great enthusiasm of your Oregon
History you could be commended for your dedication , how ever this is not my
call on this list as I am only a member here also , so we are on neutral
grounds here.  If all people put the same efforts in as you do we would have
some great websites going on history.  In this I say good things for you,
all in all I am glad you take time to share your works.
   Now I have posts, lots that date back where you can be a problem, this
message proves that too , if you stop what seems to make you look mean and
stay on track of list topics .
    Our lists are not for computers and URL training or ranting about other
topics, there is COMPUTERS-L OUTLOOK EXPRESS-L and I have computer and anti
virus lists in my circuit in Genealogy Community also, you can join there
and tell people if they wish to get help to meet you there or just help
those in private, I solved the long URL thing some time back for myself and
post lots of them time to time.
   I never ran you off the list = I simply got tired of you jumping down my
e-mail and ranting at me in personal mail and on list, I ask you to stop. I
was forced to moderate you so I could pass any thing useful since you
refused to stop and continued to post even after I called it off topic and
ask you on and off list to stop.  You are still a member of Oregon-L but
will remain moderated so I can refuse off topic posts.
    I think you are far to valuable of a person to loose for ranting, many
people read your posts, if you would take the proper topics to the proper
lists and keep you Oregon posts to the Oregon topics of the list, I am sure
there are a lot who would be happy with you.  I have stood in your corner
before, I am standing in it now, but will not if you cant decide we the list
managers have the call of what we use the lists for, and do not ( chew on
us) in private mail.
   Beth is right and so are a lot of other people, these are the very people
you are trying to share your work with that you are arguing with <?> Why?
    My apologies to the list manager of or - roots and the people for this
being on the list, it is just another message we are tired of, I hope Cecil
understands we are not against him or his works, we just want list rules
followed . With out this rules or list managers enforcing them we would have
messy lists.
     Also this cross posting is about as serious, since I am on the various
lists, I am getting this in stereo CC here CC there and CC from people not
even on the lists he posts..
   I ask him to post direct to people not on the lists, not to cross post my
list to OR roots and to be on topic and stop ranting.
   I never ask him to remove his works from RW, or leave my list, or any one
else's.
But if it continues I am going to loose a good Oregon researcher and to this
would be sad because I think if he would organize his posts and his works on
track and on topic he would find out he is a valuable person and would be
well respected.
      I would not have posted this, but dues to his ranting here I wanted to
clear the air and wash the so called dirty laundry so that he and every one
knows what this was really about.
  List rules = nothing more.

sorry or roots and manager , my applogies , but this was coming a long time,
did not mean for it to come here, in the first response I hit reply to all
to get it on list, and him in private, made the message, hit send then
realized I had not removed or-roots from ( his own CC's)
   with respect to all
