[or-roots] Re: Giving Flesh to Oregon History

  I used to think that genealogy was all names dates and places then I read 
aunt Charlotte's book and it put a whole new life to these old people who now 
live in my memory as though I knew them personnally and not just an old grey 
gravestone up in the cemetery. 
  My family has since worked on getting as much family history as they can 
and we have several book all about the old people who will now live on as 
real people and not pictures of daed people on the wall.
